Overview:
The module consists of an 8 x 8 LED array controlled by a MAX7219 chip.
The module operates at 5 V, and the maximum current is 330 MA.
This integrated circuit is ideal for controlling display panels, especially LED arrays. It has 16 output pins to control 8 x 8 LEDs with common cathode configuration.
The brightness of the LEDs can be controlled by this integrated circuit and does not need limiting resistors in series with the LEDs.
The integrated circuit can communicate with the microcontroller on the serial interface at a frequency of up to 10 MHz. It only needs two wires, one for the clock and another for the data.
