In the folk rock and country music boom of the late 70’s amidst the hubbub of folk rock super group and monster his wielding singer-songwriters, one folk singer stood out.
But more than being inspired by the sounds and act of his times, Florante has inspired in his own way too, His songs evoke of a simpler time, especially on songs “Bahay” “Timbangan Ng Pag-ibig” and “Gitara Ko”. And his handling of folk and rock in spot on as well with the 12 string guitar laden intro of “Laya” as prime example.His storytelling is of another level as well.
